The blunder of the week comes to us from South America. On may 27, Fox Sports channel Cono Norte announced Lionel Messi’s death on its Twitter account. It was of course a mistake that was quickly removed.
The message was unambiguous: “We announce the sad news that Lionel Messi died of cardiopulmonary arrest during a workout.”
Bad sources or a pirated account? We still don’t know the reason behind this gaffe that greatly dismayed millions of Messi fans. The good news is that Messi is alive and well and has plenty more goals to score!
