Lil Wayne

QD3 Entertainment is finally going to release a DVD version of their documentary on rockstar rapper Lil Wayne, which debuted this year at Sundance Film Festival and received great reviews.

The film offers an in-depth look at Dwayne Carter Jr, the self-proclaimed “greatest rapper alive.” Featuring comprehensive and personal interviews with Weezy and insight from those who know him the best, the documentary will give fans a chance to find out the history surrounding one of the most prolific artists of our generation. Giving the audience the opportunity to see Weezy like they have never seen him before, the documentary is produced by “QD3” also known as Quincy Jones III, the son of the legendary music producer Quincy Jones.

After the movie premiered at Sundance, the production met some resistance from Wayne’s camp as they weren’t too happy about some of the footage used in the film. However, the legal dispute has been settled and finally the documentary titled “Lil Wayne: The Carter” is set to hit retailers on November 17, 2009.
