Songstress Ledisi’s “Pieces Of Me,” the title track and lead single off her upcoming album, scored the artist her first top 10 hit on Billboard’s Adult R&B chart, where it is No. 7 this week. The album is set to drop tomorrow, June 14.
In a statement, Ledisi talked about “Pieces Of Me.” “People are starting to know what I’m capable of doing but they still don’t know who I am. “Pieces of Me” is more personal; I’m not hiding in the music. I’m growing more confident and stronger in my own lane. I’m just going for it. I’m really all these songs and I love singing them. They give me swag. I didn’t think I could get there but I am. And I’m feeling good.”
A vibrant, confident Ledisi recently came by the TRACE office and gave us a little taste of her powerful vocals that continue to amaze.
