So it is official, the most coveted free agent of the moment, Lebron James, is now with the Miami Heat! During a live, one-hour special on American sports channel ESPN titled “The Decision,” King James told the world he would follow all-star power-forward/center Chris Bosh’s recent decision to join point-guard Dwayne Wade and the rest of the Heat in Miami.
As the rest of the country is in anguish because the Heat now have arguably the best threesome of any lineup in the whole NBA, some of Miami’s hip-hop natives weighed in on the addition of James. “I’ve been a Heat fan since the first day they turned the lights on in the Miami Area,” said Dre of production duo Cool & Dre. “Today is a special day for my city, one we’ll never forget. Wade, we got ’em–five straight [champions]! ‘Bron, thank you, and welcome to Dade County. No ceilings!”
“MIAMI HEAT!!!! WE THE BEST!! All WE do is win!!” an excited Dj Khaled said via Twitter after the announcement (@theRealDJKhaled).
Rick Ross also spoke out in approval via his Twitter @rickyrozay. “Miami the spotlight of the world!!!!! Woooooowwwww.”
