Rappers and actors Queen Latifah (The Secret Life of Bees) and Common (Terminator Salvation) are set to appear in a new Fox Searchlight movie opposing each other in a romantic comedy-drama “Just Wright”.
In the movie shot in New York City Latifah plays the role of a physical therapist who falls in love on the job with a professional basketball player played by Common that she isrehabilitating after a career-threatening injury.
Directed by Moroccan Sanaa Hamri ((Something New and The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2), the curious pairing will certainly make more than one fans check out this modern day Cinderella story.
The script, written by Michael Elliot will have Latifah and her business partner Shakim Compere along with Debra Martin Chase as producers.
“Just Wright” will hit theaters in 2010.
