Lady Gaga’s two-year Monster Ball tour recently ended. But even though it’s over, Gaga has something to celebrate— breaking the record for the biggest tour ever by a first-time headlining artist.
“We’re humbled by the tremendous success of the Monster Ball tour,” Lady Gaga’s manager Troy Carter told Billboard. “The reasonably priced tickets, coupled with a great live experience, led it to being a must-see event.”
Gaga’s worldwide Monster Ball tour kicked off in November 2009 and according to numbers reported to Billboard, it grossed $227.4 million and brought out 2.5 million concert-goers. Numbers that could land it on the top 10 list of highest-grossing tours of all time.
