The poster icon is using her fame and stardom to raise money to aid the victims of the natural disasters in Japan.
Lady Gaga announced through Twitter that she was creating red and white wristbands that read, “We pray for Japan,” in both English and Japanese. The bracelet is also stamped with the star’s signature “claw,” according to People.
“I Designed a Japan Prayer Bracelet. Buy It/Donate here and ALL proceeds will go to Tsunami Relief Efforts. Go Monsters,” Gaga tweeted.
Another tweet stated, “Monsters: in just 48 hrs you’ve raised a quarter of a million dollars for Japan Relief. It’s important we help. X.”
The bracelet is on sale for $5, with all proceeds going to those affected by the tsunami and earthquake.
