According to social media monitoring site Starcount.com, the « Born This Way » singer gets around 30,000 new followers every day.
Lady Gaga has stated that she updates the account herself. The star’s interaction with the public is no doubt the basis for her ever-growing popularity on Twitter.
With topics ranging from her own work, to fashion and politics, Lady Gaga appears to have created a real bond with her “Little Monsters”, as she affectionately calls her fans.
Hot on her heels is Canadian pop idol Justin Bieber, with 28 million followers, Katy Perry, with over 27 million followers, Rihanna, with over 26 million followers, and finally Britney Spears, with over 20 million followers.
A true social network queen, Gaga also has over 53 million fans on Facebook and has even created her own online community: littlemonsters.com.
