Lady Gaga

The girl who began performing on the rock music scene in New York City’s Lower East Side is now clearly a worldwide superstar. The majority of Lady Gaga’s American summer 2010 tour dates are sold out! She has yet to begin the 2010 portion of the Monster Ball tour in the US, but that hasn’t stopped Gaga from planning ahead. The 24-year old icon has once again extended her tour, which started on December 2009 and will continue until April 2011. The expansion isn’t complete yet, according to the artist’s official website, which notes that additional cities and venues will be announced in the near future.

Regarding the European side of the tour, Gaga is, at press time, hitting stages in Europe until the final summer date in Sheffield, UK on June 4. Gaga will return to the continent from October 13 to December 10 2010, before returning to the US for the 2011 tour dates.

Lady Gaga has confirmed that 2011 leg of her tour will include a storyline that will be acted out by her and a number of backup dancers and other artists. “It’s still called ‘Monster Ball,’ but it’s more of a musical and less of a concert,” Gaga said. The theme of the tour will be New York, the city Gaga grew up in. No doubt she will know how to bring the Big Apple to life!
