Lady Gaga

Madame Tussauds has now gone Gaga! Like many celebrities before her, pop sensation Lady Gaga launched six different wax statues of herself to be showcased at Madame Tussauds around the world. Yesterday (Dec. 9) she unveiled her statues for Hong Kong, Shanghai, Berlin, Amsterdam, London, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and New York City. The statues took four months to complete at a total cost of $2.4 million.

Gaga’s wax statue in New York wears a subdued fine black dress, topped with a wide brim hat made of hair, a costume the real Gaga wore earlier this year to a consumer electronics event.

Figures in other cities are dressed in typical Gaga outfits and accessories, like black telephone hats, naked body suits, leotards and a purple beehive.

At least none of the money was spent on creating a meat dress.
