Appearances can be misleading… Rapper Kid Cudi, who looks more like a regular teen than a thug, was arrested on June 11th, in New York. Kanye West’s protegé was charged with felony criminal mischief and possession of a controlled substance. Though the New York Police Department didn’t give any details on the kind of substance they found, we know that Cudi was invloved in a fight with an unidentified woman. The young artist reportedly took a 24 year-old woman’s phone and smashed it to smithereens. He also allegedly broke the door of her apartment off its hinges.
Despite this shocking behavior, the rapper was released in time to perform at Bonnaroo festival in Tennessee the day after. “I really wanted to be here tonight,” he said to the crowd. Kid Cudi’s relationship with the police has not necessarily been on the best of terms since he was already arrested by mistake last year in LA. Though Cudi happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, the rapper remains unpredictable, since he punched one of his fans during a concert last December in Vancouver!
We hope Kid Cudi will manage to keep his composure before the release of his sophomore album “Man On The Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager” that should happen in September. Lil Wayne already being in jail, rap music doesn’t need anybody else getting locked up!
