Mrs. Khedira has been ordered to cover up! The Mannschaft midfielder’s girlfriend Lena Gercke has sparked controversy during the Euro 2012 with outfits that have been deemed too racy by critics. The German football federation even received complaints. So no more mini-shorts for Lena! According to German gossip magazine Bunte, the federation has asked her to avoid attracting undue attention during matches. Pictures of the couple had already caused outcry when she appeared naked on the cover of GQ.
But on the whole, WAGs didn’t get as much press in Poland and Ukraine as they did four years ago in Austria and Switzerland or during the 2006 World Cup in Germany. At the time, there was as much going on in the stands as on the pitch.
