Keri Hilson Rocks!

Singer Keri Hilson released a new video, which was received with mixed reviews.

In the track, “Pretty Girl Rock,” Hilson sings, “don’t hate me cause I’m beautiful.” Whether the singer wanted to let the world know that she was confident or cocky, viewers either loved it or hated it.

The video opened with a black and white scene where Hilson was depicting the essence of Josephine Baker. After she slides into the character of Dorothy Dandridge, who was the first African-American woman to receive a nomination in any Academy Award category in 1955.

Imitating other legends who have made their mark in musical history such as Janet Jackson, TLC, and Diana Ross, Hilson creatively switches into each character throughout the video.

The video was directed by Joseph Kahn and is a visual aid to Hilson’s second single off her album, “No Boys Allowed.” The album will be available in stores December 21st, just in time for the holidays.
