After climbing Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart for the past 10 weeks, Kelly Rowland’s steamy single, “Motivation,” featuring Lil Wayne has landed in the No. 1 spot, making it her first No. 1 hit in nine years. Rowland’s last No. 1 single was back in 2002 when she was featured on Nelly’s hit “Dilemma.”
“Motivation,” is the lead single off Rowland’s third solo album, “Here I Am,” which is expected to drop this fall. The Jim Jonsin-produced track has become so popular that it has already spawned a number of remixes from The-Dream, Jermih, and R. Kelly.
In other Rowland-related news, the former Destiny’s Child singer was recently selected as a judge on the UK singing competition show, “The X Factor.”
