Kanye West in Hawaii

Marc Ecko’s COMPLEX Magazine (December 2010/Janurary 2011 issue) features Kanye West and presents a look into the artist’s recent projects. Titled “Kanye West in Hawaii: The Making of ‘My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy,'” the artist talked about how the album was finished and where he stood in his career.

Editor-in-chief of the magazine, Noah Callahan-Bever got an exclusive look into the artist’s private “rap camp” in Hawaii, according to the feature article.

“During my five days in Hawaii, Kanye never slept at his house, or even in a bed. He would [nap] in a studio chair or couch here and there in 90-minute intervals, working through the night,” Callahan-Bever wrote. “Engineers remained behind the boards 24 hours a day.”

West supposedly said that he was done with music and that he needed a break, but the editor-in-chief along with the rest of the readers are skeptical and unbelieving.

West’s fifth studio album was released in stores on Monday, November 22. Make sure to check the feature article following the link bellow
