Apparently Taylor Swift is not mad at Kanye anymore! Remember in 2009, during a ceremony rewarding the best music videos, Kanye jumped on stage, interrupting Taylor‘s acceptance speech for the Best Female Video award for ‘You Belong With Me’. The rapper grabbed the microphone from her hands and said: “Yo, Taylor, I’m really happy for you, I’ma let you finish, but Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all time! One of the best videos of all time!”. A very clumsy intervention by Kanye who is still criticized for his attitude several years after…
We thought Taylor would be mad at him forever, but the two stars were seen all smiles, discussing together at the Grammy Awards. But aside from an apology from the arrogant singer what were they talking about?
It was during an interview on a radio show that Kanye confessed that he would soon work with the singer hailing from Pennsylvania: “Yeah, she wants to get in the studio and we’re definitely going to go in. Any artist with an amazing point of view, perspective, fan base, I’m down to get in the studio and work. I don’t discriminate, I don’t have an elitism of music because of like how many Grammys or you know, the amount of ratings you get on an album”.
Kim‘s husband also took the opportunity to talk about his intervention during the Grammys when he rushed the stage (again), when Beck received the award for the Best Album: ” the voices in my head told me to go up, and then I just walked up, like, halfway up the stage. You know, what I really wanted to do is just joke around with what had happened before [with Taylor Swift at the 2009 VMAs], but I just really didn’t want to take away from Beck’s moment. It was kind of a joke, like the Grammys themselves.””. If he continues the interview by saying that Beyonce deserved the award, he also thinks he can bring something to the different music genres: “[…] if I can provide energy or advice studio at Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, Jay-Z or Beck and reciprocal basis, I would like that to happen.”
Do you think he will ever work with Beck?
