Rapper Kanye West was named International Man of the Year at the GQ Awards on september 4 in London.

The 10th Annual Awards ceremony took place at Covent Garden’s Royal Opera House in London and was hosted by music legend Sir Elton John.
A panel of GQ experts selected West for the award, which was presented to him by actress Rosario Dawson.

Other winners included Sir Michael Caine (Lifetime Achievement Award), singer James Blunt (Solo Artist of the Year), Tracey Emin (Woman of the Year), while stars like Madonna, Naomi Campbell, Lily Allen, Jude Law and others were in attendance.

Previous GQ Men of the Year include Jay-Z, Sir Paul McCartney, director Pedro Almodovar.

On a related news, Kanye West will continue the worldwide promotion of his upcoming album Graduation with the launch of his “Glow in the Dark UK” tour, an exclusive series of performances in the United Kingdom.

On November 1, West will kickoff the seven-date series, performing singles from Graduation, including his hit single “Stronger” which shot to #1 in the European country.
