Kanye West

Seems like Kanye West can’t help but rub people the wrong way. West and girlfriend Amber Rose were recently criticized for their outrageous taste in fashion while attending fashion week in Paris. At the Louis Vuitton show, the couple paraded around in his and hers over-the-top fur coats. The next day, the couple was spotted at the Yves Saint-Laurent fashion show, where Kanye wore a more tasteful outfit, except for his creepy black leather-studded shoes. Amber, on the other hand, wore a disturbing, revealing shredded black dress with a flesh colored leotard underneath.

Some of the couple’s fashion week choices have animal rights group PETA up in arms. PETA’s Vice President, Dan Mathews said, “Kanye can’t help make himself look like an idiot, whether at an award show or a fashion show. He and his girlfriend look like pathetic creatures from a shabby roadside zoo.”

Kanye also made headlines for being banned from the worldwide televised telethon “Hope For Haiti,” but is it true? A-list celebrities such as Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Rihanna, Bono, Wyclef Jean, Alicia Keys and Justin Timberlake made guest appearances on Friday’s benefit telethon (January 22nd), “Hope for Haiti.” Kanye West did not. Rumors circulated that George Clooney, along with the telethon’s producers, felt that Kanye was a bit too controversial for the televised benefit and it was best that he not participate. This decision was supposedly based on the outburst West had during the hurricane Katrina telethon in addition to his more recent awards show behavior when he stormed on stage and snatched the mic from country singer Taylor Swift during an acceptance speech.

“Kanye has to make everything about himself. He will do anything to steal the spotlight and this night it’s just not about him,” one producer told popeater.com. However, MTV denies reports that West was banned from the telethon.
