According to media, Chicago rapper Kanye West is currently working on a new album. After “808’s & Heartbreak,” this fifth album is presented as “an old school rap album” with lyrics inspired from his own experiences. “There are real pieces of my life that I want to share with people. It comes from the heart and I don’t care what people will say. I’m not here to be judged” said Kanye.
Lil Wayne and Jay-Z should also be part of the project, as well as teen sensation Soulja Boy. Indeed, Kanye and Soulja Boy are collaborating on each other’s album. The pair has already hit the studio together and their creativities seems to be mutually stimulated, according to Soulja Boy’s tweets.
After the VMA scandal, the cancellation of his tour with Lady Gaga and the hoax about his death the rapper’s return to the studio could be the best way to restore his reputation. This new album, scheduled for June 2010, will no doubt spark interest and put Kanye where he really loves being: at the center of the public attention… But for positive reasons this time!
