Justin Bieber walked Mayweather to the ring

Floyd Mayweather is a real performer! He puts on a show before, during and after fights! He proved it yet again on Saturday, May 5 in Las Vegas, during his fight against Porto Rican Miguel Cotto, for the WBA super welter weight world title. The American boxer entered the ring surrounded by 50 Cent and Justin Bieber! We’re not sure the teen heartthrob’s presence exactly made his opponent cower…but it didn’t stop Mayweather from winning the fight, with judges unanimously ruling in his favour. This victory enabled him to nab his eighth world title in five separate weight classes. He is an undefeated professional boxer, with 43 fights behind him.

The show continued after the fight. The boxer was joined on the ring by his friends 50 Cent and Justin Bieber as well as another rapper, Lil Wayne. They all celebrated his victory in Sin City.

During the press conference, Floyd Mayweather also explained that the much-awaited fight against Manny Pacquiao would no doubt never take place. And according to him, it’s not his fault. This mega fight has been discussed and subsequently buried several times because of diverging points of views on topics ranging from drug tests to how to split the winnings.

In the meantime, a very real challenge awaits Mayweather: on June 1, he’ll begin serving a 90-day prison sentence for domestic violence.
