Is Joey Barton finally settling down? His name hasn’t been linked to any controversies on or off the pitch lately. He seems to be taking things with a pinch of salt. Recently, a bunch of squatters broke into his house, which is undergoing renovation, and changed the locks.
This misadventure doesn’t seem to have upset the new Joey Barton who grinned and bore it when he learnt the news. He even gave them « 10/10 for sheer audacity ». Fortunately for the squatters, Barton declared that he was trying to « give up violence ».
In the end, the problem was solved, and Barton even has a solution to avoid this kind of thing from happening again: « I might go to nearest pet shop and purchase 20 tarantulas, 20 snakes and as many rat as I can get my hands on, pop them through letter box. Then we’ll see who the clever one is. Be warned Squatters, your time is up. »
