It looks like the Jiggaman really ain’t ready to retire yet!
“American Gangster”, Jigga’s 10th album, is scheduled for november 6th.
A couple of days after the movie “American Gangster” starring Denzel Wshington.
It’s not a soundtrack -even if it looks like it- but a real album that Jay is about to drop.
He told the New York Times that the inspiration for the new album hit him after seeing “American Gangster”.
The movie portrays Frank Lucas, a real-life Harlemite who rose from being a driver to a drug lord in the 1970s.
He also revealed to the Times that he saw glimpses of Lucas (played by Denzel Washington) in himself. “It immediately clicked with me…Like Scarface or any one of those films, you take the good out of it, and you can see it as an inspiring film.”
The end of year promises to be exciting now, with two heavyweights (Jay and Weezy) dropping what we can expect to be high profile albums.
The first single of “American gangster”, “Blue Magic” is already available.
