According to FORBES magazine’s latest estimates for the annual Celeb 100 package, Jay-Z earned more than Beyoncé for the first time since they got married in 2008. The Brooklyn-born rapper raked in 37 million dollars over the past 12 months, B ‘only’ earned 35 million.
Music’s royal couple doesn’t just rely on music-related earnings. Jay-Z continues to reap the rewards of his $150 million multiple rights deal with concert promoter Live Nation. He brings in additional cash from ownership stakes in a range of companies. Beyoncé keeps cashing in on clothing line Dereon. Besides that, both of them have made various endorsement deals.
Both Jay-Z and Beyoncé saw a dip in earnings this year. The pair took home $63 million and $87 million in 2010. Once Jay-Z will release “Watch The Throne,” and Beyoncé unleashes “4,” upon the world, their earnings will probably increase. In the meantime, they’ll both have to settle for earning less than an artist who was two years old when Jay-Z released his first album. Justin Bieber took home $53 million this year…
