The FIFA World Cup 2010 is taking place in South Africa, the first time that the event will be held in Africa.
Excitement is in the air, as the lineup of musicians to perform at the concert, happening at the Olando Stadium in Soweto on June 10, is slowly being revealed. American music power couple Jay-Z and Beyoncé will be performing at the music event. The concert will take place before the opening soccer world cup games begin.
The music concert, organized by Kevin Wall’s company Control Room, is set to be an African celebration featuring international music stars collaborating and supporting African musicians.
The Black Eyed Peas have been rumored to be part of the lineup but no official word has been released. All proceeds from the event will be donated to disadvantaged communities across Africa.
