Hip-Hop mogul Jay-Z just signed a multi- perfume deal with Parlux Fragrances (the company behind Paris Hilton, Jessica Simpson, Queen Latifah and others’ perfumes and accessories) to produce and market 3 new perfume labels, for himself, Rihanna and Kanye West.
The deal is between Parlux and Iconic Fragrances, Jay Z’s golden company. The excitement on Wall Street can tell that this is a huge deal in times of crisis. Jay Z proves again his entrepreneurial talents outside the recording business. He’s had several successfully ventures into clothing, shoes, clubs and even alcohol.
Next to this deal, Jay Z is close to sealing another deal for an undefined “well- established female artist”. So maybe we can expect Beyoncé’s fragrance any time soon?
Kanye West and Rihanna’s fragrances are due in stores in 2010.
