Janet Jackson is set to release her still untitled album in February 2008 via Island Def Jam records.
She will immediately go on a world tour after, to promote the CD.
She revealed to Billboard that the new record is being produced by Def Jam CEO Antonio “L.A.” Reid and not by her longtime boyfriend, Island Urban president Jermaine Dupri.
Dupri who is working on Mariah Carey’s new LP, which should be out next spring said:
“We’re going to make it seem like we’re in competition to see who’s going to have the biggest album of the year…”
