Oscar winner Jamie Foxx stars in “The Soloist”, an emotional drama about the redemptive power of music. The story is about a journalist, Steve Lopez (Robert Downey Jr.) who discovers Nathaniel Anthony Ayers (Jamie Foxx) a schizophrenic former classical music prodigy, playing his violin on the streets of L.A. Lopez tries to help the homeless man “to get back on his feet” and make his dream come true. A unique friendship is formed, one that transforms both their lives. “The Soloist” is directed by Joe Wright (Golden Globe winner for Best Drama and Oscar nominee for Best Picture “Atonement”).
The American actor, singer and comedian got an award for the key role he played in “Ray”. It’s likely that Jamie Foxx gets a second Grammy Award for this similar performance. Like in the biography of Ray Charles, Jamie Foxx a classically trained pianist, shows his skills and combines acting with singing and playing music like no other.
In the US theaters April 24th.
