J-Lo and Marc Anthony

Jennifer Lopez and Mark Anthony held a press conference last Friday, announcing that they made an ‘amicable’ agreement to end their seven year marriage. The former Latin lovebirds lamented “It is a painful time for all involved and we appreciate the respect of our privacy at this time.” The American Idol judge’s stylist shed some light on the split “This is not a surprise. Marc is very controlling. In the beginning she liked that because he stood up to her, and in the early days he was very much in love with her and she was with him.” Phillip Bloch went on to say in an interview with The Mail “She fought to make it work for the sake of the children. She desperately did not want a third divorce.” The weekend before the break, J-Lo met with newlyweds William and Kate, minus Marc and her wedding ring. Details, such as the division of millions of dollars in assets and custody of the couple’s two three-year-old twins, Max and Emme, are likely to be disclosed as the divorce proceedings continue.
