THE INGOMA FOUNDATION HOSTS THE 8TH EDITION OF THE INDEPENDENT NATIONAL GOSPEL MUSIC AWARDS

 

The INGOMA Foundation will be hosting the 8th Annual Independent National Gospel Music Awards (INGOMAs) on Saturday 23 October 2021 at the House of Treasures Ministries in Johannesburg. The ceremony was postponed from the initial date of 28 August 2021 due to the then National Lockdown Level 3 restrictions. 

 

The INGOMA Foundation has once again partnered with Trace Gospel for the 8th INGOMAs. This partnership is based on the shared developmental visions for the gospel music industry by both Trace Gospel and the INGOMA Foundation.  Part of the performers for the night will be Dumi Mkokstad, Bucy Radebe, Takie Ndou as well as Jumbo. The night will also showcase new and upcoming gospel artists including Phindi P, Ayande Shange, Keneilwe Hope and many more.

The event will be hosted by Actor and TV Presenter, Motlatsi Mafatshe as well as Reality TV cast member and actress, Innocent Sadiki. Some of the TV and radio personalities who will be at the event include the legendary Sophie Ndaba, Londiwe Nene, Pastor Enoch Phiri, Neo Mathunyane and Melo Mthethwa just to mention a few.

During the event, Hlengiwe Mhlaba will be honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award called the Chairperson’s Award, while Thuso Motaung from Lesedi FM will be honoured with the Trailblazer Award. Pastor Strike Manganyi will be honoured with the Humanitarian Award for his contributions to the community while Bishop Nhlapo from God Never Fails Ministries will receive the Five-Fold Ministries Award.

Some of the nominees for this addition include Bucy Radebe, Canaan Nyathi, Xolly Mncwango, Paul K, Pretty Mhlongo, Teboho Moloi and Go Explo just to mention a few.

The event will start with the red-carpet experience at 17h00 and the main event will start at 18h30. 

As law-abiding citizens, the INGOMA Foundation will ensure that all health protocols as per the Covid-19 regulations, which includes wearing masks, sanitizing and maintaining social distances, are adhered to during the event.
