Guardiola leaves Barcelona

Pep Guardiola will not be coaching Barcelona next season. After Barcelona’s Champions League semi-final defeat against Chelsea and the almost certain loss of the Spanish league title, Guardiola confirmed what everyone has feared for weeks: his decision to leave the club after four successful years and therefore close one of the most illustrious chapters in Barça’s history.

Over the past four years, Pep Guardiola and his staff have won 13 titles, including two Champions Leagues and three Ligas. FC Barcelona are still reeling from the news but have chosen Pep Guardiola’s assistant, Tito Vilanova, as his successor.

As for archrival Real Madrid, José Mourinho confirmed that he’d continue coaching Los Merengues next season.
