Barcelona defender Gerard Pique has signed a two-year contract to be the new face of Spanish brand H.E by Mango. The 24-year-old’s recent successes at club and international level have seen him rewarded with a lucrative contract to front the fashion brand. A Mango spokesman described Pique as the “perfect representation of the type of man the brand aims to dress: young and carefree, with his own style and personality”. He has also found himself in the gossip magazines in recent weeks due to his relationship with the singer Shakira. The pair were spotted holding hands as they left a Barcelona restaurant this week. Pique will now become the new face of the men’s fashion brand, featuring in a series of adverts and campaigns.
