Foxy Brown may have been released from jail, but her legal problems are mounting.
Brown was just released from prison last month after serving eight months of a one year sentence for violating probation.
Just after her release, she took a plea deal to avoid more jail time in another case involving an altercation that took place at a Florida beauty supply store last year.
Recently, on May 2nd, Brown was hit with yet a different lawsuit from a woman she allegedly smacked with her BlackBerry last year. Arlene Raymond, had Brown arrested last July after she was rushed to Brooklyn Hospital with loose teeth and swelling around her lip and right eye.
Finally, a warrant has been issued for Foxy Brown’s arrest today May 5. Earlier this morning Brown was scheduled to show up in court for a hearing in the criminal case against her in the BlackBerry assault. She did not show up for the appearance and the judge has issued a bench warrant for her arrest.
Brown’s new album, “Brooklyn’s Don Diva,” is scheduled to be released on May 13 and her upcoming reality series is currently in production.
May 6 Update:
the bench warrant that was issued for Brown’s arrest yesterday (May 5) was a misunderstanding and has since been recalled.
Laura Dilimetin, Brown’s lawyer, says that she had gotten the rapper’s case delayed to May 8, but that court officials mistakenly kept May 5 on their calendar. When they realized the error, they recalled the warrant.
