Relations between the two gentlemen of tennis, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal, seem to be heading downhill. Federer recently criticized Nadal during a press conference.
The source of his discontent was Nadal’s habit of violating time rules during matches: « I’m not complaining a lot, but I don’t know how you can go through a four-hour match with Rafa and he never gets a time violation », declared the Swiss player.
A few days ago, Federer declined Nadal’s invitation to play an exhibition match in the Santiago Bernabéu stadium to celebrate the 110th anniversary of Real Madrid, Rafa’s favourite team.
However, both players will be present at the Indian Wells tournament this week: the atmosphere may get tense if they have to play against each other.
