American idol winner Fantasia is finally back with a new album called “Back To Me” that should reportedly hit the stores this summer on July 27th. The album will be released via J Records. It will feature guest appearances by Cee-Lo Green and tracks written and produced by Ne-Yo. A new song titled “Even Angels” already leaked on the Internet months ago, giving a preview of the singer’s new material. However, the first official single is “Bittersweat,” a mid-tempo R&B love song that is currently number nine on Billboard’s Urban Adult Airplay chart.
“Back To Me” will be the third studio album by the North-Carolina native, coming four years after her sophomore, self-titled effort, for which Fantasia was nominated for four Grammy Awards. Yet the velvet voiced singer has been very busy these last couple of years since she began a career as a Broadway actress in the show “The Color Purple,” and also had her own reality television show.
But like her 2006 best-seller book suggested, life is not a fairy tale for Fantasia since she also had to struggle against a tumor on her vocal cords. Fortunately, the artist is now at her best and ready to come back with an highly-anticipated new album.
