Estelle

British singer Estelle is collaborating with New York City based designer Rachel Roy on an exclusive new jewelry line for the Rachel Roy brand. The limited edition, which was co-designed by Rachel Roy and Estelle, includes necklaces, bracelets, earrings and rings.

The collaboration between Estelle and Rachel may surprise many, but the two have been admiring each other’s work before to decide to work together. Estelle was quoted as saying, “What I love about Rachel is that her look is unpredictable. One day she’ll be in a cocktail dress and the next day she’ll be in flats and a little jacket. No matter what she’s wearing, it always looks appropriate. Rachel has great style and I loved collaborating with her on this line.” Rachel also raved about the singer sense of style for taking risks and setting trends.

After working as an intern for the urban hip-hop fashion label “Rocawear” founded by rapper Jay-Z and Damon Dash, co-founder of Roc-A-Fella Records, Rachel Roy rose to become the creative director of the women’s and children’s divisions and later married Damon Dash. In 2004, she launched her own fashion line “Rachel Roy,” since then, she has been praised for her designs.

The collection will be available this spring at select Macys stores in the US and online at rachelroy.com.
