Eminem and Mariah Carey

Rapper Eminem and singing sensation Mariah Carey are still going back in forth with each other. In his new song “The Warning,” released in July the rapper goes into explicit sometimes embarrassing details about his alleged fling in 2001 with the singer. Even though Carey has said it never happened, Eminem called out to Carey and her husband (Nick Cannon), by insulting the couple with a slew of profanities by rapping, “You probably think since it’s been so long, if I had something on you I woulda did it by now… enough dirt on you to murder you.”

The rapper also claimed in his song that he slept with Carey “once” and criticized her for having an “alcoholic mind.” The feud between both artists was ignited by Eminem in his song “Bagpipes from Baghdad” off his new album, “Relapse.” In the track, the rapper suggested that Carey and her hubby should break because he wanted another shot at the diva. He also threatened to release voicemails that Carey left for him.

In response to Eminem’s taunts in “Bagpipes from Baghdad” Cannon in May blasted the rapper in his blog for disrespecting his wife writing that “Slim Lamey” is “still obsessed with my wife, the same female that wouldn’t let him get to second base.” He also wrote that the two should deal with this situation like adults.

A month later Carey released her own response to the feud with the video of her new single “Obsessed” in which the songstress played both herself and a goateed stalker in a hoodie looking like Eminem. The singer sang, “why you so obsessed with me, lyin’ that you’re sexin’ me when everybody knows it’s clear that you’re upset with me.”

Though no one knows for sure if the two had a romantic affair, whatever connection happened between them is no longer there. Maybe it is a figment of Eminem’s imagination but in this feud only time will say if this romantic interlude was real or fictional.
