On April 14, Eminem took on Twitter that there will be no “Relapse 2” with any elaborations. “I had originally planned for “Relapse 2” to come out last year but as I kept recording and working with new producers, the idea to a sequel to Relapse started to make less and less sense to me and I wanted to make a completely new album,” stated Eminem in an interview.

The new album, “Recovery” will be released on June 22 of this year. “The music on “Recovery” came out very different from “Relapse” and I think it deserves its own title,” said Eminem. The new album features production from DJ Khalil, Just Blaze, Jim Jonsin and among others.
Just Blaze encouraged Em’s new album, which he stated, “He had his ups, he had his downs, and now he’s way, way, way up. This (album) is definitely going to be up there with the best of his albums, for sure, for sure.”
