Drake: he donated money to save a Philadelphia High School

Who says rappers are all selfish and do not give back to the community? Drake has just proved a lot of people wrong. One of the most successful artists of the past years has saved a Philadelphia High School by donating a $75,000 recording studio.

After seeing a news report about the principal’s efforts of Strawberry Mansion High School in Philadelphia to turn things around to improve campus academics and lower violence, the Canadian rapper stopped by the school to speak to students while he was on tour and announce that he was donating to their new recording studio.

The school completed construction on the studio last summer and officially opened its doors a few weeks ago. A song created by three students was even played over the school’s address system, and signups for classes ramped up.
