Rapper/singer Drake collapsed on stage while performing as part of the Young Money Cash tour in New Jersey, on Friday, July 31.
According to press reports Drake and Lil Wayne were performing “Best I Ever Had” when the rapper collapsed while doing a spin move injuring his already twisted knee again that send him crumbling down on stage.
One witness said, “He put his head down because he was in so much pain and then four guys ran out on the stage and had to carry him off.”
As for Lil Wayne he was left onstage in a state of confusion. He then told the stunned crowd, “Damn, I knew that n—a’s knee was bad, but I didn’t know it was that bad! I thought he was just in a wheelchair on T.V”
Soon after the incident Drake was tended to by paramedics back stage and at press time there was no word as to whether the rapper would continue the tour.
His current status isn’t known.
The tour also features Lil Wayne, Young Jeezy, Soulja Boy, Pleasure P, Jeremih and more.
