DMX heads to prison

Due to a violation of the terms of his probation, rapper DMX will be spending one year behind bars.

DMX was last arrested on Nov. 18 in Phoenix, Arizona, for using cocaine and consuming alcohol during a performance in an Arizona club and later failing to check in with his probation officer. He was also accused of driving with a suspended license.

The plagued rapper has already served two terms in prison this year. DMX recently walked free in August after serving 18 days of a 90-day sentence in connection with a reckless driving conviction from 2002. He also served four months behind bars earlier in the year for a previous parole violation charge, before being released in July.

After receiving the guilty verdict, Judge Christine Mulleneaux, ordered DMX to serve a year behind bars.

The rapper turned 40 on December 18th.
