Rap mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs had secret documents leaked online on August 21st by a hacker. According to the findings, Combs was interested in joining forces as an advisor for social networking site Twitter.
In the documents it was showed that Twitter did considered hiring Diddy to help them develop an entertainment strategy for their site but to some unknown reasons the partnership that was supposed to happen between both parties never became a reality thus making Twitter labeling Diddy as a “distraction”.
To the Brooklyn rapper’s relief the documents also showed that he was not the only celebrity courting Twitter. In fact during a Twitter management meeting held on April 16, 2009 names like basketball superstar Shaquille O’Neal, Oprah, Marissa Mayer, Microsoft, as well as Silicon Valley bosses wanted to partner with the giant network as advisors. During the meeting minutes it was mentioned that “Diddy values his contribution higher than we do.”
Despite the failed partnership Diddy has used Twitter to promote himself as well as to launch his “P. Twitty TV.”
