Tennis champ Serena Williams has finally broken her silence about her romance with rapper Common. The couple was rumored to have ended their two-year relationship in April and the hip-hop star recently confirmed he was no longer dating Williams by insisting he was “definitely single.”
In an upcoming interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Serena blamed Common for their breakup. “His schedule is actually worse than mine,” Serena told Harper’s Bazaar. “He didn’t want the responsibility. It’s really tough.”
Though she has some hard feelings about the relationship, Serena was at least thankful that Common didn’t badmouth her to the media, nor use the breakup to promote his movie, “Just Wright,” which was released just as news surfaced of their break up.
The interview with Serena Williams is featured in this month’s Harper’s Bazaar, which is due on shelves in the US on July 20th.
