More and more companies are appreciating the power of advertising through the hip hop industry and Smirnoff Vodka is no exception.
Smirnoff Vodka has commissioned Common, Q-Tip and KRS One to remix one of their classic singles in support of their newest liquor line, Smirnoff Signature Mix.
According to Hot 97’s Miss Info, Common has teamed up with producer Just Blaze to remix “The Light” while Q-Tip has linked up with Cool & Dre to remake “Vivrant Thing”. KRS One teamed up with DJ Premier to remake “I’m Still #1.”
The new mixes of old hits are a nod to Smirnoff’s new take on a classic flavor, featuring a line of new pre-mixed cocktails.
Common, Q-Tip and KRS will perform their remixes at the launch for Smirnoff Signature Mix on February 26th in New York City and the tracks will be available for free download via Smirnoff.com.
