With a new look to match her new sound, Grammy award winning R&B singer and songwriter Chrisette Michele recently shot a music video for her new single, “I’m A Star,” which is from her new album, “Let Freedom Reign.”
This inspirational track talks about Michele overcoming the lows in life and turning them into high moments.
“This is about the freedom to love whoever it is that you decide,” Michele said.
“I’m A Star” was produced by Chuck Harmony and written by fellow Def Jam label mate, Ne-Yo.
“Let Freedom Reign” will be a follow up to Michele’s 2008 album, “Epiphany,” which debuted at number 1 on Billboard’s Top 200 Albums chart.
Michele also announced that her album will be filled with collaborations from artists such as Rick Ross, Talib Kweli, Drake, and Black Thought. She will also be rapping on “Let Freedom Reign.” The album will be available in stores on November 30.
