Chris Brown

R&B singer Chris Brown said that he was shocked after reading excerpt of the police report containing graphic detail of his assault on ex girlfriend Pop singer Rihanna. In his first public interview on Monday, August 31, since his arrest and plea the singer told Larry King, “When I look at the police reports or I hear about the police reports I don’t know what to think.”

When talking about the incident Brown said, “I look at it like wow. I’m in shock, because, first of all, that’s not who I am as a person, and that’s not who I promise I want to be,” while seating between his mother and lawyer.

But when asked by King if he remembered the punch, the bite and the choke that took place that night the singer said simply “no.”

Though early reports of the interview indicated that Brown said he didn’t remember the incident, the singer issued a statement saying that he misspoke in the 30 second clip that was released to the media. He said, “As I have said several times previously, I am ashamed of and sorry for what happened that night and I wish I could relive that moment and change things, but I can’t. I take full responsibility for my actions. What I have to do now is to prove to the world that this was an isolated incident and that is not who I am and I intend to do so by my behavior now and in the future.”

Of Rihanna, Brown said, that he never fell out of love with her, “that just wouldn’t go away” despite the fact that a judge has ordered him to stay away from his Ex-girlfriend for five years. I would “definitely be affected by” Rihanna being with other people, but “at the end of the day … we’re not together, so, if she’s happy, I’m cool.”
The entire interview will be broadcasted on CNN today, September 2nd at 9pm.
