After his hectic weekend, Dereck Chisora finally came to his senses. He apologized for the brawl he got into with David Haye on Saturday night in Munich. His possible lifetime ban and his upcoming hearing before the Boxing Board of Control may have something to do with it.
David Haye also discussed the incident, saying he was prepared to cooperate with the Boxing authority’s investigation, but failed to express regret -perhaps because he isn’t facing suspension, having retired last October.
We’ll see if Chisora’s apology is enough to avoid a lifetime ban. Keep in mind that both men risk going to jail.
