China Moses and Raphaël Lemonnier have different career paths, but this does not alter the outcome of their collaboration of the album “This One’s for Dinah”. They share a similar passion for jazz, in particular the repertoire of Dinah Washington, which was the main motivation to record this album.
China Moses was born with a destiny in the music industry as Dee Dee Brigewater’s daughter. She has a career as a MTV France VJ, she wrote articles for the French version of “The Source” magazine and has an extensive repertoire of 4 albums including a live CD/DVD album. The French singer and artist with Afro-American origin brings great performances with her live band and a whole lot of jazz. She is working on a 4th album in English while she just released “This One’s For Dinah”, on the “Blue Note” music label, a brillant tribute album to jazz singer Dinah Washington.
