Chiddy Bang

Chiddy Bang is an American alternative hip hop group out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (USA) consisting of rapper Chidera “Chiddy” Anamege and producer Noah Beresin, better known as Xaphoon Jones. After meeting in their first year of college, the two began working together and soon started creating music under the name Chiddy Bang.

The group boasts a sound that is rather unorthodox to the mainstream hip hop of today, fusing hip hop elements with uniquely sampled choices from Indie Rock artists such as Radiohead, Sufjan Stevens, Passion Pit, and MGMT. At first, their unique style was almost too unique, only being appreciated by the underground world of online music blogs. But soon their after, Chiddy Bang began to gain international success for their fresh new sound. The group has recently signed a major record deal with Capitol Records.

With the release of “The Opposite of Adults” EP earlier this year, Chiddy Bang is currently at work on their very first album. They are also on tour at the moment, playing all over the US as well as traveling to the UK for a few performances–most notably the Glastonbury Festival this June.
