Cali Swag District member

The Hip Hop world is mourning the loss of rapper M-Bone. The 22-year-old was killed in a drive-by shooting on May 15 in Los Angeles. M-Bone was a part of the California-based rap group Cali Swag District. They scored a smash hit in 2010 with “Teach Me How To Dougie,” a song all TRACE viewers are familiar with.

In a statement, the members of Cali Swag District called M-Bone “an inspiration to his family, friends and fans. He was a hardworking, passionate artist and dancer that will be deeply missed.” Group member Smoove tweeted, “Ma life changed drastically in the. Blink of an eye rip mbone.”

M-Bone’s girlfriend suspects jealousy is at the heart of the shooting but police have not yet confirmed that.
