Brandy

Once again, R&B singer Brandy is back in the spotlight and not for the right reasons. In a lawsuit filed on August 20, in LA County Superior Court, Marc Mysterio a popular DJ in Scandinavia, France, the UK, Italy and the Benelux claims that Brandy defaulted on a deal to write and sing 32 bars worth of music after she accepted a check of 10,00 dollars in July. Since then, the singer never came through with the deal. As a result of Brandy’s defection, the DJ lost more than 25,000 dollars and is suing her for a reported 6 million dollars.

He took on Twitter (@MARCMYSTERIO) on August 23rd “Plz stop hatin @4everbrandy we paid her 2 be on the track for her talent. just cause she wanna reneg, dont mean she aint got game on da mic”

It is not the first time that the singer has been sued. Remember? On January 30, 2007, she was sued for 50 million dollars for causing the death of a woman. The lawsuit filed by the victim’s parents claimed that Brandy was driving recklessly in the freeway when her car collided with Awatif Aboudihaj’s car killing her. In December 2007, after a thorough and extensive investigation by the Los Angeles authorities, her lawyer released a statement in which he acknowledged that the singer has not been charged with any crime relating to the car accident.

According to various media reports, in 2009, Brandy settled the case with the victim’s family to avoid going to a civil trial. The terms of the settlement have been kept private by both parties. She was also sued around the same time by other people involved in the same car accident.

Since April 11, 2010, the singer has been a reality television darling with her family reality show titled, “Brandy and Ray J: A Family Business” in which the singer is working on taking her career to the next level. No word yet on any upcoming projects.
